Yvette Simpson describes how the tight-knit social bonds of Lincoln Heights shaped the sense of community she later incorporated into her politics. She talks about her efforts helping communities grow without displacement and discusses her goal to transform the political system from the inside to guarantee that voice is given to the concerns of ordinary Black Cincinnatians.
